Get a Job

Okay. So I’m a freewheeling, freelancing son of a gun, right? I’v been one for a few years now, and I absolutely love it. When the going is good, it’s freakin’ awesome, but when it’s not … well … it can be downright scary. Where’s the next source of income gonna come from? How do I juggle a handful of commitments and clients ensuring I fulfil my obligations and that everybody’s happy? I’m sure you can imagine the pressures involved. I must admit that – as much as I love my freelance lifestyle – from time to time I have a look online for full and part time work. Permanent positions even! I ain’t found anything yet to take me from my writing, consulting and photography gigging but I am open to the idea.

One site I’ve recently come across is totaljobs. More than 4,000 companies choose to recruit with totaljobs, advertising over 90,000 jobs at any one time. They add thousands of new vacancies daily. So if you can’t find the right jobs today, check back for fresh opportunities again. With its well organized and massive listings of jobs particularly for civil service jobs, it’s a great resource to keep in mind for folks looking for work.

I even found a few that intrigued me enough to click through and read the details. I’m still intent to ride this “be you own boss” wave. But I’ve gotta tell ya, it’s a very good feeling knowing the right permanent position might just be a mere click or two away.
