Good Stuff

Before I lose track and the frenetically festive season ramps up, here’s a list of list of some things I’ve come across lately and have really enjoyed but for whatever reason they didn’t get much mention on this blog, my tikichris-to-go Tumblr blog or one of my client’s blogs.

Fashion for Freedom: Interesting fashion show for a good cause (MAP) with brilliantly edgy set design by Kemey Lafond 🙂

Domestic Sluttery: Went to Anova Book’s launch of the Domestic Sluttery’s book. The book looks really nice and the party was fun.

Westminster Cathedral: Found myself with some time to kill before a meeting in Victoria, and popped into this lovely cathedral for the first time. There was a lovely choir singing and it’s beautiful inside. For a brief moment, I felt like I was on holiday in France or Spain.

Hackney Picturehouse:  Caught a movie here on Friday. It’s been open for a couple of months now. I actually wasn’t so impressed with the flick I saw (Scorsese’s Hugo). However, I was really pleased with my movie going experience. Spacious, comfy and walking distance from my flat – Hackney Picturehouse is awesome.

East India Company: Checked out the EIC’s Christmas open house to the press. If you’re looking for some fancy teas, coffess, jams, marmalades, biscuits and condiments to give as gifts, they’ve got the goods in a lavish range of gift boxes, hampers and trunks.

Lea River Walk: Yet another reason to love living in Clapton. I’ve been really enjoying weekend rambles along the Lea River towpath. Baby coots, wide open spaces, marshes … yeah.
