I’ve Got a Chance to Visit Japan for Free. Will You Help me Win?

Hi. I recently participated in a blogger cook-off sponsored by Ainsley Harriott Foods. There were four other contestants. All five of us are now vying for a chance to win an “all-inclusive trip of a lifetime to a top international foodie destination”. If the winner is me, I’m off to Japan. I really want to win. And that’s where you come in (I hope).

The competition is basically a Facebook popularity contest to see which blogger can get the most votes. Last I checked, I was losing – big time! If you could spare a few seconds to vote for me, I’d really appreciate it. You know I’ll take a ton of pics and return with a bunch of hilarious stories. And by the way, by voting for me or any of the other bloggers, you’ll be in with a chance to win your own free trip to Marrakech!

Keep reading for details about Ainsley Harriott’s #SoupSearch competition. Here’s how to vote for me:

  • Click this link to visit the Ainsley Foods Facebook page.
  • “Like” the #SoupSearch Competition app.

  • Watch a short little video from Challenge Day last week with (a very goofy) me meeting and cooking with Ainsley Harriott.

  • Vote by clicking on my name just below the video.
  • On the next page, you can enter your details in order to enter a prize draw for a three night trip for two to Marrakech. The winner of this prize will be chosen after voting closes on the 17th of September 2012.

  • After entering your details to win the trip to Marrakech, you will see the scores so far. You can only vote once and if you’ve voted and return to the app, you will see the current scores as percentages.

Voting will close 17 September. Once the scores have been added up, Ainsley et co will announce the winner. Please vote for me.

About the #SoupSearch Challenge

Ainsley Harriott’s #SoupSearch is all about exploring the flavours of the world to find his next Cup Soup flavour. If I win this thing, I would slurp my way around Japan for a week or so “exploring all the tastes on offer” and reporting back via the Ainsley Harriott Foods Facebook page and my own blog. Once back in London, I would visit to the Symington’s factory to create a Cup Soup flavour based on my the finding of my trip.

For the blogger cook off, I made Shiitake Steak Handrolls with Wasabi Mayo alongside Ainsley. The recipe, which I’ll publish in a few days, was my idea (spur of the moment too!). I was pretty happy with the results and everybody who got a bite of my dish, loved it.

I’d never met my competition before, but they were all lovely folks. You should have a look at their blogs.

But, don’t forget to vote for me please:
