Turin: City of Foodie Firsts (CheapOair)

Turin is a city of firsts in many ways. The northern Italian city is home to the country’s first official capital. It’s the birthplace of the Fiat automobile and is essentially the go-to scene for contemporary art in Italy today. And if you know your wines at all, then you’ll be well aware that Torino’s region, Piemonte, is numero uno for discerning palates seeking red wines with serious umph. For foodies in search of a primo destination, Turin is worth primary consideration for its list of culinary and gastronomic firsts as well.
