Good Stuff #41

Good Stuff (Great Cocktails) at Number 90, Hackney Wick

Good stuff and lots of it! Here’s the (long overdue) lowdown on some fine things to see, sip or savour – all of which I’ve recently come across and thought were worth sharing with you. Enjoy.

Number 90

It seems like ages ago, but the fun time had at the first anniversary party back in March at Number 90 (90 Wallis Road, Hackney Wick) is still a fresh fond memory. It’s an ace venue for convivial canal-side gathering with yummy food and drink. Cocktails are especially delish!

Limited Edition Hedonism Quindecimus from Compass Box Whisky

Blended and bottled to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Compass Box, I loved sipping a sample of this complex, richly sweet blended grain whisky with tropical notes.

Irish Brown-Bread Crackers from Sheridans Cheesemongers

I had a bite … and then another … and another of these simple but tasty handmade crackers from family food producers Sheridans. Look for them at Marks & Spencer, as part of a new range of branded artisan foods from across the British Isles.

Japanese Super Foods from Yutaka

Japanese food brand, Yutaka, as launched a number of awesome new products over the past few months. I can’t recommend enough the low calorie and dietary fibre rich shirataki glass noodles made from the konjac plant (RRP £1.50 for 170g, online and at Whole Foods) and the brown jelly-like Konnyaku tofu also made from konjac (RRP £1.50 for 220g online and at Whole Foods).
