Farmstand, All Day Healthy Eating on Drury Lane

Here’s a healthy option for fast, no fuss dining near Covent Garden: Farmstand.

I’m just back from a very enjoyable lunchtime nibble through Farmstand’s new spring menu. The Drury Lane all day eatery’s chief focus is on build-your-own boxes with seasonal, nutritionally balanced and largely UK-sourced ingredients. A box with one main and two sides or no main and three sides costs £7.50. But there’s an assortment of ready-to-go boxes as well and the place is open for breakfast and dinner too.

Bits I liked best about my meal were the free sparkling water, deeply flavoursome harissa chicken, roasted aubergine with sumac and tahini, spring peas with Norfolk asparagus, sugar-free coconut yoghurts made with COYO, and a well-pulled double espresso (Workshop coffee).

I liked the space as well. It’s huge with plenty of seating for a variety of situations (off-site working, quickie solo scarfing, large party lunching), set in a convenient location with a pared down, bare brick/post industrial look and feel.

Farmstand is located at 42 Drury Lane, WC2B 5AJ. Find out more at farmstand.co.uk.
