Sailor Jerry Pop-Up Bar at The Well

DSC_4215

Popular Clerkenwell pub, The Well, goes Hawaiian for the summer with a “Hotel Street” pop-up cocktail bar in collaboration with Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum.

Running until the end of September in the basement of The Well, Hotel Street takes its name from the all-but-forgotten red light district of Honolulu where tattooist Norman “Sailor Jerry” Collins plied his trade. Sailor Jerry themed cutouts, throw pillows and canvasses as well as neon signage set the mood for small parties (and private hires of up to 70 guests) with a retro, nautical feel.

Cocktails from the bar include Hearts and Daggers (Sailor Jerry, Galliano, Cointreau, lime and blackberries) and Nautical Star (Sailor Jerry, cranberry juice, passionfruit and strawberry purée). Snacks include Paignton crab and sorrel croquettes, chilli salt squid with sweet chilli sauce, and buckets of fish fingers with tartare sauce.

The Well is located at 180 St John Street, EC1V 4JY. Find out more at downthewell.co.uk.
