For many, Christmas is a time to set off on the open road and see the family we haven’t seen all year. This might include travelling by plane, train or automobile and if you do have to jump behind the wheel, it’s important you are prepared for the extreme weather that can accompany the festive period.

We may think we know exactly what we are doing when it comes to driving in snowy or icy conditions, but it’s important to take extra care. There are many checks you need to do in order to prepare yourself and your car. If you’re heading abroad to visit family this year and will be hiring a rental car, make sure you’ve read up on the rules of the road.
