Available in three flavour combinations, Salted Caramel, Peanut Butter and Chocolate Hazelnut, Miiro vegan ice cream pops are made with frozen coconut milk with coconut sugar, nuts, grapes, Himalayan pink salt and pea protein and thick coating of raw cacao. Look for them at Whole Foods, Planet Organic and As Nature Intended as well as delis, health food stores and cafés nationwide, and online at Ocado. My Healthy Kitchen is a new ready meal brand available at Ocado, Amazon Fresh, and Waitrose. The range consists of six recipes – Moroccan Prawn; Roasted Mediterranean Vegetable Risotto; Oriental Chicken; Chicken Paella; Pea, Mint and Rocket Risotto; and Prawn Katsu – and are all under 500 calories and nutritionally balanced at a recommended retail price of £3.95 each.
Nairn’s Gluten Free Super Seeded Oatcakes
These new oatcakes from Nairn’s are really delicious. I like them on their own or with some cream cheese and blueberries. But the potential toppings and ways to enjoy them are many. Pick a box up for £1.79.
Pierre Marcolini Casse-Noisette
Belgian chocolatier Pierre Marcolini’s limited edition Casse-Noisette collection of truffles offers rich indulgence in bite-sized perfection. You’d be a nutcase not to enjoy the fondant centre of Ecuadorian and Cameroonian cocoa blended with milk and white chocolate with a hint of Maldon salt, coated in a fine milk chocolate shell and dusted with cocoa powder. Look for them from September through October at the Pierre Marcolini Marylebone Boutique, counters in Selfridges and Harrods and the online Pierre store.
With a delightfully rich bouquet and notes of banana and caramel expressed on the tongue, this 10-year oak barrel aged Grenadian rum is excellent on its own or in cocktails.

Japanese food brand Yutaka has launched two new instant vegetarian noodle varieties – Miso Ramen Noodles with Miso Soup and Tonkotsu Ramen Noodles with Creamy Soya Sauce – in 260g packs to be available at Tesco and priced under £3. I had a taste of the miso noodles. I really enjoyed them and found it easy enough to add all sorts of yummies (egg, sesame, hot sauce) to my soup (though the noodles and seasoning tasted plenty good on their own). One pack was more than ample for solo dining or to share between two people with minimal other dishes.
