Plans Announced for the 2013 City of London Festival (CheapOair)

Every summer the City of London Festival brings to life unique buildings and outdoor spaces with an extensive artistic program of music, visual arts, film, walks and talks with much of it free to the public. Inaugurated in 1962 to revitalize the cultural life of “the City” – London’s square mile financial district – the festival is to considered to be one of the UK’s leading annual arts events. Sneak Peek of the View from The Shard

The View from The Shard offers a new perspective of the London skyline. I loved looking down on the towers in the City of London on the other side of the Thames as well as how Piccadilly Circus seemed like some weird throbbing glare amidst what otherwise appeared as very historic chunk of town. And I was mesmerized by all the trains slinking in and out of London Bridge Station just underneath. Continue reading
