Restaurant Review: The Cavendish, Marylebone
Newly opened The Cavendish sets a dual tone for a night out. The downstairs bar (which was absolutely jam packed the Tuesday evening I was there) offers casual drinks with upscale air while a more subdued if rather swish upstairs dining room promises a more formal experience (though still quite far from stuffy). Whether it be a quick drink, bar snacks with cocktails, or a full-on feast – The Cavendish is a worthwhile venue to keep in mind next time you’re seeking a suitable place to enjoy food and drink in Marylebone. Cookery School Social
Last week I had the delicious pleasure of hosting a friendly little social event at one of my favourite London kitchens, Cookery School. My guests and I made our own tagliatelle from scratch with asparagus and wild garlic leaves as well as tiramisu. We then enjoyed a convivial and candlelit feast together tucking into our handmade creations along with a few other treats whipped up by the hard working Cookery School staff. There was plenty to drink as well and an especially ample amount camaraderie shared. Continue reading

Ergon, Greek Deli + Cuisine in Marylebone
Ergon is a newly opened Greek deli and restaurant in Marylebone. Its menu features dishes designed by Dimitris Skarmoutsos, Greece’s best know celebrity chef. The shop sells products only from independent Greek producers. And, in the face of the the gargantuan econonomic meltdown, this startup business managed to expand across Greece and actually make a profit. Now with its Picton Place shop launched just before the new year, Ergon aims to bring an authentic taste of Greece to London. The reasons to visit are many. But if you need just one reason go, make a take home jar of the cod roe spread. That stuff is gorgeous. Continue reading

Upstairs Dining at The Portman Pub & Restaurant, Marylebone
The contact address may say Upper Berkeley Street, but The Portman Pub & Restaurant is very much part of the dynamic dining scene of its cross street corner – Seymour Place, home to Lockhart, Vinoteca, Sandy’s and Donostia. My 3D Lipo Non-Surgical Fat Removing Experience
I get some pretty wacky invitations landing in my inbox these days. Having a several years old blog and a rather flexible attitude toward what makes a relevant story often adds up to me getting to check out a lot of things I might not have even known about otherwise.
