Fancy a refreshing gin and tonic with a light floral bouquet and a hint of island spice? Try my recipe for Juliette’s Garden G&T.
I’ve been invited to participate in friendly little Ginspiration Cocktail Competition by Juliette’s Interiors to help celebrate the launch of the luxury brand’s Most Perfect Modern Gin Trolley. My contribution? Juliette’s Garden G&T, a guaranteed quencher that (IMHO) is ideal for garden entertaining or bringing the best elements of the outdoors inside for more formal affairs.
For my recipe, I went with Pickering’s Original 1947 Gin for my base spirit. To amplify Pickering’s spicy and characterful profile of cardamom, coriander, clove and cinnamon, I added a touch of ginger beer to up the edge and a pinch of freshly grated nutmeg for a bit of island mystique. Complementing the cardamom taste, I poured in a little Lanique Rose Liqueur. To bring forward the floral aspect of Lanique while ensuring the cocktail maintained a crisp G&T feel, I included Fever Tree Elderflower Tonic Water and finished off the drink with fresh lime juice and a lime wedge for garnish.
I hope you enjoy! Cheers.
