Organ Reframed is a festival of new music and cross-collaboration for organ. Returning for its third year with a weekend of live performance, film and discussion at Union Chapel near Highbury & Islington Station.
With the aim of “releasing the organ from its traditional roots” the festival will feature nine world premieres of cutting edge new works from composers at the forefront of contemporary music, with a landmark performance of a new work by Éliane Radigue – widely regarded as one of the greatest living composers and a pioneer of experimental music.
Here’s a look at all the festival’s events:
- Friday 12 and Saturday 13 at 5pm: Spitfire Audio Composer Insights, £5;
- Friday 12 at 6.30pm: Visions in Meditation, tickets from £8.50;
- Saturday 13 at noon: Daylight Music, pay-what-you-can;
- Saturday 13 at 6.30pm: Éliane Radigue and Hildur Guðnadóttir, tickets from £8.50;
- Friday 12 and Saturday 13: Exhale, free for attendees to all Organ Reframed events.
