Demi Perera drops by Petersham Nurseries in Covent Garden for the launch of new British beauty brand, Gorgias London, and its range of single-pressed facial oils and five shampoos and conditioners.
Living in the Big Smoke, as we do, I’m certainly open to pampering my hair and skin. This week, I was happy to hear that London has a brand new range of luxury beauty products. Gorgias London launched its O Range; natural, cold-pressed and oil-based products with a difference. The Gorgias promise? Honest luxury: 100% natural ingredients chosen for their effectiveness.
I went along to the launch held at the lush Petersham Nurseries in Covent Garden to find out more. The O Range includes five single-pressed facial oils and five shampoos and conditioners. The facial oils have been created to treat and protect the face from daily aggressors such as cold weather, central heating and pollution. The Berry Blend with raspberry, strawberry and cranberry oil is suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin. The Mediterranean Blend of prickly pear, olive and almond oil has been formulated to rejuvenate skin elasticity and boost the complexion. Almond, macadamia and grape seed oil makes up the Complete Night Repair Oil to hydrate and nourish the skin whilst you sleep. Argan oil is the key ingredient in the Argan Intense Hydration Oil for healing and balancing PH levels.
The Mediterranean blend on my skin felt light and smooth. Once massaged in to the skin the oil absorbed quickly. It smelt gorgeous and I will certainly use it in the winter months as it also makes for a rather relaxing bedtime routine.
The shampoo and conditioners are made of hemp oil extract for hydration boost, argan oil for dry hair, marula oil for intense moisture for frizzy hair, coconut oil for damaged hair and black caviar oil extract for restoring shine to dull hair. With such a wonderfully indulgent range of key ingredients to treat a variety of hair types and conditions the range is sure to be a hit. Whilst classic ingredients such coconut and argan may not be new to the market I am willing to back the black caviar oil extract; it’s what I chose for myself from the offer. I am yet to use them but from the smell of the ocean and sunshine in the bottle I can hardly wait.
