The work of Chris Osburn, a London-based American expat, this award-winning blog features a variety of photo-rich posts published on a regular basis to highlight the best of London culture and lifestyle alongside lots of food and drink and travel related stories and tips.
Trips100 lists tikichris as one of the top 10 UK travel blogs of 2016. Eventbrite has the blog in fourth place among the UK’s top 30 food and drink influencers. Lastminute.com places it among its top ten London blogs as well as one of its overall top 50 blogs. The blog won Highly Commended in the Best Food & Drink category at the 2016 UK Blog Awards. It received DFDS Seaways’ Best Travel Photo Blogger Award in 2015. In 2014, Foodies 100 listed tikichris in second place among its Top 20 Food Blogs on Twitter.
The tikichris entry for Bidvest 3663’s Ultimate Bacon Butty contest received the top prize of Overall Best recipe. The blog was also the winner of Ainsley Harriott’s 2012 Soup Search Challenge.
Tikichris ranks well in the Trips 100, Teads and Zomato lists of top blogs (usually in the top ten of all three) and in the monthly Foodies 100 UK Food Blog Index too.
In addition to blogging, Chris Osburn works as a freelance journalist, photographer, consultant and curator.
The range of outlets to which he has contributed regularly includes City AM, Great British Chefs, OneTravel, and Urban Travel Blog. A list of other outlets to which Chris has contributed includes Time Out, CNN, HuffPost Taste, Comte des Cierges’ CDCLifestyle, LBC 97.3FM, Whitehot Magazine of Contemporary Art, and Pervoe Vtoroe Tretye. Chris has done extensive commissioned work for TripAdvisor as well.
Chris is a judge for the International Chocolate Awards, a certified judge for the Kansas City Barbeque Society, and a card carrying member of the International Travel Writers Alliance.
He is the author of The Law of the Island: A Rapa Nui Travelogue; and Kamapua’a: Adventures on Oahu; and the editor of Mega City Photo exhibition catalogue. He is a contributor to 1001 Restaurants You Must Experience Before You Die and The Hunt London.
