Thanks to the swissmiss blog (one of my favourite online reads), I just found out about a new minimalist way of viewing flickr images: ihardlyknowher.com.
In addition to having one of the funniest URL names I’ve come across in quite awhile, IHKH functions as an “alternative way to view Flickr photostreams. It is designed to facilitate high quality viewing with minimal distractions.” Indeed, it truly cuts down on the clutter surrounding Flickr photostreams and shows the image with bare bones, pertinent info (time shot, settings, etc) about it. Of course, when viewing photos via IHKH, you’re never more than a click away from Flickr and the viewed member’s profile.
IHKH is a personal project of Justin Ouellette, photographer and creator of Muxtape. To use IHKH, all ya gotta do is add a Flickr username to the end of the URL. For example, my IHKH stream would be following:
http://ihardlyknowher.com/tikichris.
Nice.
Very nice – I’m one for cleaner designs and with all the push for ads and gadgets it’s so easy to get messy…time for a late new year clean up on my blogs I think!
Yep. It’s real tidy. I like it! At the least, it’s just another fun way to view pics. Yay.
Thanks for commenting!
Chris
Hahahahaa! Love it.
Yeah, it’s a brilliant URL. It should win some award or something.
Thanks Mel!
