Dead Set on Having Fun in Mexico City

If you ever get a chance to visit Mexico City during the Day of the Dead festivities don’t think twice, just go. I reckon this Meso-American megalopolis is a delicious, vivid and fun place to be anytime of year, but come the end of October the whole cuidad seems to turn into one big Aztec-tinged Halloween fiesta that’s bizarrely as sombre and macabre as it is fun: Kids done up like vampires and spooks roaming the streets for candies and coins, fancy dress parties and paper mache skeletons everywhere … it’s a hoot. Here are just a few highlights from my recent trip.
