Strong contenders for the best raclette, falafel, hot dogs, wild boar sausage, paella etc etc etc may all be devoured here. And should you fail to find anything that strikes your fancy offered at a vendor’s stall, the many restaurants, cafes and pubs expand the options to ensure all tastes are catered to (sushi, oysters, fine chocolate – you name it!).

  1. I love Borough Market. It’s got its detractors these days – too expensive, too touristy – but I love it. One of the best food and drink experiences I recently had was standing in the warm sun outside the Market Porter pub, pint of Meantime Pacific Pale Ale, and cheese and bread from Neal’s Yard opposite. Spontaneous and tasty. perfect.
