Last night’s ladyboy competition at upscale Thai restaurant, Mango Tree, marked the ten year anniversary for this annual transgender beauty pageant. From “why is that man wearing a dress?” to “why does that woman have an Adam’s apple?” the show offered a great night of cheering for good natured – and glamourous – contests. Tropical cocktails, a seemingly endless stream of Thai cuisine canapés flowing from the kitchen and an enthusiast audience added to this year’s “Sport and the City” ambience and all but guaranteed an eleventh competion in 2013.
The winners of Mr and Ms Mango Tree contest? Miss Thailand, of course. As for the actual manly men on show, “Number Two” took home the trophy.
