Would you like an attractive limited edition designer umbrella to shield yourself from the element in style? Then keep reading because I’ve got a beauty of a parasol to giveaway.
One of the highlights of my “Le Méridien at Frieze” experience last week was getting to check out the Duro Olowu umbrella installation at the fair. The installation was commissioned to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Outset Frieze Art Fair Fund to Benefit the Tate Collection. OFT is organised and funded by Outset Contemporary Art Fund with support from Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts.
Duro’s designs are inspired by his Jamaican-Nigerian heritage and his London upbringing. His fans include Michelle Obama and Uma Thurman.
The installation featured two dynamic and vibrant umbrella designs with Olowu’s signature fabrics (one colour and one black and white). Launched at Frieze, the umbrellas are now on sale at only a few outlets, including the shops at Tate Britain and Tate Modern.
There are only 500 of Olowu’s colour design umbrellas in existence. But thanks to Le Méridien Piccadilly I have one to give away!
If you’d like to be in with a chance of winning one of the limited edition umbrellas, please answer the following question in the comments section of this post by 6pm (British time) on Friday 19 October:
Which anniversary is OFT celebrating this year?
- 2nd,
- 5th or
- 10th?
I’ll pick a winner at random and get in touch over the weekend. You’ll need to have an address in the UK for the umbrella to be delivered. Good luck!
COMPETITION IS NOW CLOSED AND WINNERS HAVE BEEN SELECTED/CONTACTED. THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR COMMENTS. PLEASE STAY TUNED FOR MORE FUN AND FREEBIES TO COME!
