I have long felt that a significant number of the best cocktail bars in London are hidden away in some of this city’s finer hotels. There’s the Coburg Bar at the Connaught, the Mirror Bar at the Landmark, the American Bar at the Stafford, Trader Vic’s at the Hilton, Longitude 08 at Le Meridien… I could go on, but I think you get my point, and I don’t want to dilute or crowd out what I mean to say about one particularly superlative place to drink: GNH Bar at the newly opened Great Northern Hotel.
