Good stuff and lots of it! Here’s the low down on some yummy treats I’ve recently come across and thought were worth sharing with you. Enjoy!
2013 saw the third Thanksgiving in as many years with a Copas Turkey as the centrepiece of my American feast! I highly recommend giving their succulent, flavoursome and easy to roast free-range turkeys a try for your Christmas dinner. And if you’re available this Thursday and can make it to their Berkshire farm, the Copas folks are hosting “Stress-Free Christmas Day” masterclass from 7pm.
Crazy Jack Organic Soft Apricots
I’ve been meaning to write about Crazy Jack Organic Soft Apricots for awhile now. Dried apricots might not sound like that big of a deal but believe you me, these little bite size morsels really pack a wallop of yum! And at only £2.99 for a 250g bag, they’re an inexpensive and much healthier alternative to most on-the-go snacks.
I’m not quite sure why Brits feel the need to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the end of American prohibition, but that’s just what the folks at Bootlegger are doing this 5th of December. After a recent tasting, the white grain spirit gets a yee haw from me. Find it at Harrods and other premium booze retailers.
London brewers Meantime have recently launched a new limited edition smoked porter. Complex, full bodied and with a slight taste of Beechwood cured malts, I had a pint and really like it.
Patchwork Traditional Food Company
A few weeks back, I enjoyed sampling a Pâté in a Jar alongside some spelt organic oat fingers from the Patchwork Traditional Food Company. Handmade in the Welsh countryside, packaged in nifty little boxes for easy gifting and sold online with free next day delivery, the products are a no brainer for festive season noshing.
