I really had a fantastic time during my city break in Basel. I hope you’ve enjoyed reading about the highlights of my visit.

I think I’ve stressed enough how hassle free travelling to/from/in Basel was. My Swiss International Air Lines flight from London City to EuroAirport (just over the Swiss border in Mulhouse, France) was a breeze and surprisingly short at only an hour and a half. Getting into town was hassle free and fast. I reckon it took about 20 minutes for me to arrive at my city centre hotel from the airport.
Much of what I wanted to see and do was within easy walking distance from my hotel. But when I relied on busses and trams, public transport proved to be the stuff of dreams: efficient, comfortable, clean, and free! Yeah, check this out – I was given a free Mobility Ticket when I checked into my hotel which allowed me access to all of the city’s public transportation for the entirety of my stay. And as I understand it, all Basel hotels give Mobility Tickets to all their guests.
In closing I’d just like to say that for a compact destination that’s big on culture, I reckon Basel should be one of your top choices. I was really impressed with just about everything saw and experienced there and would relish any chance to go again.
