Taking advantage of my chance to try out IHG Rewards Club’s new top membership level, Spire Elite, I had a fantastic time last month exploring one of my favourite cities: Rome.
For my extended weekend away, I stayed at Hotel dei Borgognoni. Steps from the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps, the hotel was ideal for sightseeing and exploring the city on foot. Staff members were all especially friendly and helpful. My room was comfy and spacious. There was great WiFi in my room and throughout the public areas of the hotel. I would be pleased to stay there again and would recommend it happily – especially to first time visitors. Find out more at hotelborgognoni.com.
Booking my room and my flight with British Airways via IHG Rewards Club was a breeze and probably less complicated than if I’d done so through the actual hotel and airline websites or most travel booking sites.
The highlights of my trip were many: the Vatican (especially the Sistine Chapel), the Coloseum, the Pantheon, attending a late hours/1€ entry opening of the Musei Capitolini with free concerts set up throughout its halls and galleries, eating delicious pizza baked in age-old historic ovens … and so much more.
Rome truly is an amazing destination. And despite having visited it a number of times, I’ve still yet to get my fill. It’s a good thing all roads lead there!
