Scarf this down hot dog aficionados: award-winning and traditionally prepared Jimmy’s Farm Cumberland-Style sausages, made of 100% free range Suffolk pork, are now on the menu at Shake Shack.
The sausages are available at all UK Shake Shack outlets (there are four at the moment, three in London and one in Cardiff) as the main ingredient of two hot dogs: a Jimmy’s Farm Cumberland-Style Sausage Flat-Top Dog; and the ShackMeister Sausage, a flat-top Jimmy’s Farm Cumberland-Style dog topped with cheese sauce and crispy ShackMeister ale-marinated shallots.
I had the ShackMeister during a recent double-pronged visit to 1) try Jimmy’s Cumberland-Style sausages and 2) see the new Shake Shack digs at New Oxford Street. And it was a total treat – a really smart mix of awesome flavours as worthy of a re-order as anything I’ve enjoyed from the Shack’s menu. Dense with meat and especially sage-y, the split and griddled sausage was top quality and perfectly paired with the cheese sauce and crisp shallots. As with other Shake Shack burgers and dogs, I loved the bun too – an especially soft and Martin’s Potato roll.
As for the Shack outlet at New Oxford Street, it’s comfy and conveniently located. Service was super friendly (but it should be noted they were expecting me) and especially prompt.
Shake Shack New Oxford Street is located at Bloomsbury Plaza, 56B New Oxford Street, WC1A 1ES. Find out more about it and all Shake Shack locations at shakeshack.com.
