A car from Carspring isn’t just about giving yourself a great set of wheels, it’s about giving yourself the freedom to explore this green and pleasant land of ours. And with Easter around the corner, what better time to hit the road?
Yes, the traditions of this time of year have been somewhat subsumed by stuffing your face full of chocolate, but with the right attitude and a bit of planning there’s so much more you can make of your bank holiday weekend. It’s time to get digging for those amazing eggs. So, load your back seats with your loved ones and drive out to your egg hunting destination of choice.
There are hunts up and down the country, there for everyone from beginners to the more eggsperienced (ok, no more, promise) hunters. Whether you’re taking the kids for a day out or after little bit of adult-only (not as raunchy as it sounds) Easter egg hunting, you should start planning your journey now, as Easter weekend looms on the horizon.

Hunt like a Prince or Princess
Wrest Park, Bedfordshire is an eggceptionally (sorry) landscaped estate, offering over 90 acres of flawless grounds. Less an Easter egg hunt, more an ‘Easter Adventure Quest’, this event is all about bringing Easter stories to life. With riddles and clues along the way, the kids will really have to earn their chocolate. There’s plenty more to do here besides including lakes, woodland walks and cafe. All set in a gloriously stately English composition.

Fancy a challenge?
Traquair House, Innerleithen Scotland provides a great array of Easter egg hunts for all ages. Named its Easter ‘Eggstravaganza’ (that’s what they call it), hunts are open for all ages, for under 5s, under 10s and a plethora of activities for the rest of the family. For the maze hunt, there are over 6,000 mini eggs hidden in Traquair’s mysterious labyrinth, so you’ve definitely got to be up for the challenge.

No Better Way to Hunt for Eggs Than Among Real Ones
Chatsworth House, Derbyshire has what you need for the farmy egg hunt experience with real and chocolate eggs amongst the chickens. There’s loads going on throughout the Easter period. With an egg trail in the main house, a golden egg in the grounds and an Easter arts and crafts session amongst newly hatched chicks in the farmyard.

Stuck in the Big City? No Worries! There’s Always the Famous Roof Garden Hunt!
Kensington, London treats the city dwellers that do not have a chance to sneak out to the countryside for their eggs. 1.5 acres of amazing green space is pretty ideal for the traffic dense city! What’s more, this one is definitely adult-friendly, with a chance to really kick back after your long search for Easter treats and enjoy a nice cocktail in the garden bar.
