Winding down the last two nights of their stay in Mauritius, Mia and the girls (and Kai) live it up with a touch of resort style luxury.
Our joint highlight of our Mauritius stay turned out to be the two last days at the Shanti Maurice Resort.
We settled on our choice of resort based largely on this blurb in the Telegraph:
A Mauritian family-run romantic but informal boutique retreat in mature tropical gardens in the unspoiled ‘wild’ south, with an award-winning spa and heritage experiences. Popular with couples and families, and it’s also safe and friendly for spa-going singles.
This sounded like it was build us thinking of us!
After two weeks of exploring and searching for the local way of life, we embraced the “postcard tourist” way of holidaying – and it was fantastic. And we did not leave anything out. The cocktails at the poolside, the spa, the infinity pool, the delicious meals at their various restaurants. We did everything.
The rooms were huge, the bathroom was the size of my entire London flat and the beds were so big that we wondered why we booked two rooms.
The Rum Shack was very trendy with it shabby chic approach; my favourite feature, practical as I am, was the sand flooring.
Our stay at the resort proved a perfect way to say bye-bye to Mauritius before going our separate ways again.
Girls, I miss you!! Let’s do it soon again!!!
