Santa Monica Travel and Tourism is hosting a Santa Monica themed rooftop pop-up bar at the SkyLounge rooftop bar at the top of the DoubleTree by Hilton Tower of London hotel.
Southern California sunshine is obviously not guaranteed. However, the sun was shining in full glorious force when I paid a visit during a press preview and couple of days ago – and I could think of few finer places in London to spend my afternoon. Plus, SoCal treats like cauliflower tosadas, fish tacos, burgers and more are to be on offer everyday alongside cocktails such as frozen margaritas, California wines (Bulletin Zinfandel Rosé is a perfect quaff for a rosy sunset) and craft beers (Anchor Steam!).
There are heat lamps, covered seating areas and ace views of The Gherkin, 20 Fenchurch Street, and The Shard.
Santa Monica at Skylounge opens to the public 1 June and runs through the summer months (maybe even into October if the weather holds).
