Here’s one last wedge of Comté to consideration before I bid adieu to this series of posts about this distinctive cheese and the beautiful mountains where it’s produced.
I had a wonderful time visiting the Jura Mountains. Although I was only there for a couple of nights, I feel like I was able to get a good sense of the place. I certainly had a lot of fun, and without doubt I ate extremely well. I didn’t get my fill of the Jura (or the gorgeous local cuisine). I hope to make it back there again some time in the not too distant future for an extended stay. For fans of French food, fresh mountain air and beaucoup de tranquility, I’m hard pressed to think of more pleasant destination.
