On now until the end of the month at participating Bill’s Restaurants is a Secret Marmite Menu.
Love Marmite? You’ll flip over this limited breakfast offer for those in the know.
Bill’s Secret Marmite Menu features The Marmite Rarebit to eat and a Marmite Mary cocktail to drink. Both are delicious.
The rarebit is a gorgeous mix of Marmite, crème fraiche, egg, English mustard and mature Cheddar baked atop two crisp slices of toasted bloomer with a poached egg each and fresh parsley. Portions are ample.
The Marmite-ified Blood Mary is a potent and fiery take on the classic morning cocktail made with Chivas Regal 12 year-old, tomato juice, cream, lemon and a special Marmite reduction, served with a stick of celery and slice of lemon. A Virgin Marmite Mary is also available.
Prices are superbly reasonable. The Drink is £6.95 (£4.95 for the non-alcoholic drink). The rarebit is £5.95. Both together cost £12 (£10 if ordering the non-alcoholic drink).
The Secret Marmite Menu runs until 31 January at all Bill’s Restaurants in London as well as the Bill’s in Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds, Glasgow, Bristol, and Birmingham. To order from the menu, tell your server you’re there to “spread the love.”
The invitation to try the Marmite menu was my first opportunity to dine at one of the 20 Bill’s restaurant in London (with more throughout the UK). My visit was to the attractive and comfortable Muswell Hill outlet (loved the big windows). Service was friendly and speedy.
Bill’s Muswell Hill Restaurant is located at 107 Muswell Hill Road, N10 3HS. Find out more at bills-website.co.uk.
