Blink and you’ll miss it (and miss out) – tiny Tostado in Soho offers Ecuadorian fare at a fair price and with a warm Latin welcome.
I had a lovely lunch at Tostado last week and though it was quickie the positive memory of the experience remains strong.
My meal was a keep it simple (but oh so savoury) chicken and potato stew with salad and rice. It really hit the spot. I’d be happy to have it again but would be keen to return to Tostado for what’s supposed to be some of the best ceviche in Soho.
Service was quick and accompanied with an especially friendly and appreciative reception. The dining area is a sliver of seating space along the restaurant’s bar but quaint and cosy.
In general, prices are pretty nice at Tostado (particularly for Soho) with plenty of menu items available for around £5. Using the Mealpal app my lunch was only £4.79 – and waiting for me when I arrived.
