Fine flavour in full 5D! If you haven’t tried Fifth Dimension Chocolates you’re missing out on some inventive creations crafted with finesse.
I finally got a taste of Fifth Dimension’s delicious doings while taking a palate pleasing tour of the world with this multi award-winning London-based independent chocolate maker’s Journey Box. Inspired by travels and culinary experiences, Head Chocolatier Russell Pullan sees the beautiful 18-piece box (including 11 award-winning handmade truffles) as an opportunity to enjoy a “personal journey into flavour.” What a trip! And a very flavoursome one indeed!
Yummiest in the box (IMHO) were the New York (apple and calvados caramel), the London (stout caramel), the Sydney (mint and miso) and the Capetown (curry and raisin). The most intriguing by far was the Meaux (whole grain mustard).
The Journey Box is priced at £25, which I reckon is extremely great value for such quality treats. The packaging is attractive and the accompanying ephemera provide an informative and fun read about the ideas behind each truffle.
