In Oaxaca, Mexico they say that mezcal doesn’t make you drunk, it makes you magical. If you’ve tried it you know what they mean. If you haven’t, you’re about to because the first official London Mezcal Week is happening this week, 11 to 17 September 2017.
There are events on across the city celebrating Mezcal, Mexican culture, art and food. From art exhibitions and panel discussions, to the creation of a Mexican mural, Mezcal masterclasses and food pairings. Each event delves deeper into the fascinating world of Mezcal and its place in Mexican culture.
The headline tasting event this Saturday and Sunday will take place in Hackney and feature the UK’s biggest ever Mezcal tasting. Enjoy over 30 types of Mezcal, Mexican street food, art, DJs and live music.
