1968— Fifty years ago—  was a landmark year for movies, the release year for a massive feast of films now considered classics:  Oliver, the Odd Couple, Funny Girl, Yellow Submarine, Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang,  Rosemary’s Baby and 2001: A Space Odyssey,  to name a handful.
