Here’s the low down on some fine things to see, sip, savour and more – all of which I’ve recently come across and thought were worth sharing with you. Enjoy.
Kettle Chips recently has launched two new ranges of crisps. Both are yummy.
The Ridge Cut range (with ridged “extra surface” area) features three seasonings: Barbecue Beef Brisket, Chinese Spare Rib, and Jalapeño Jack. I crunched them all with enthusiasm but noticed the spare rib flavoured bag went empty the quickest. Look for Kettle Chips Ridge Cut crisps at Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons at a RRP of £1.99.
Kettle’s Discovery Range has two additional flavours: Patatas Bravas with Paprika & Aioli and Buttermilk Chicken & Sriracha Mayo. The chicken and sriracha flavour has noteably deep notes and plenty of heat! Get them at Tesco priced for £1.99.
Dorset-based bakery Thomas Fudge has been making biscuits for just over a century. I only recently had my first taste. I really enjoyed sampling Thomas Fudge’s sweet and savoury biscuits, wafers and flatbreads. Especially tasty wa the trio Florentines: dark chocolate, milk chocolate and salted caramel. Find Thomas Fudge products as Asda, Booths, Morrisons, Ocado, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, and Waitrose.
Wild & Game, a “not-for-profit business that aims to turn the UK into a nation of game lovers” has introduced two new products to its line up of pies, pasties, sausages, ready meals and whole and filleted birds: grouse, brandy and herb pâté, and pheasant, pistachio and port pâté. Both were a treat on crusty bread. The pheasant, pistachio and port was a particularly inspired combination of ingredients.
Founded in Sweden, Humble Smile Foundation aims to improve the lives of disadvantaged people around the world by providing the tools to reduce oral disease through the implementation of monitored tooth brushing in schools while also promoting the use of its biodegradable Humble Brush to curb the problems posed by the 2 billion plastic toothbrushes discarded every year.
I’ve been brushing with a 100% biodegradable bamboo Humble Brush with toxic-free nylon bristle. Made of durable material that can be processed through regular waste channels, it’s as good (and actually maybe a little better) than any plastic brush I’ve ever used. I’m certain to pick up another when it’s time to replace my current one.
