Calibra Coffee Grinder with Integrated Scale | My Coffee with Melitta

Welcome back to the 2020 iteration of My Coffee with Melitta. Let’s get grinding with a post about Melitta’s amazing Calibra Coffee Grinder!

I believe that the most important factor when preparing coffee is the quality of the beans. More than fancy gear, technique or whatever milk or other things you like to add to your drink, if the beans are no good then the end result will be inferior. Likewise, if the beans are delicious and only ground when needed, it won’t matter so much how you make the coffee and you shouldn’t need to alter the flavour with milk, sugar or syrups.

For me, provenance of the beans, how they were roasted (light to medium please) and how long it’s been since they were roasted are key to making an excellent cup of coffee. That said, caring about the beans means caring about how you prepare them. Grinding only the whole beans you need only when you’re making yourself a drink is better than grinding a surplus of beans ahead of time.

Freshly ground beans have the fullest flavour.

With the Melitta Calibra Coffee Grinder with Integrated Scale, you can grind fresh coffee measured precisely to the gram. It’s Melitta’s first electric coffee grinder with integrated scale. It uses a professional steel conical burr grinder for exact and even results and can hold up to 375g of beans.

Perfect for all types of coffee, the Calibra has 39 variable grind settings, from fine to coarse. Grind levels 1-5 offer a finer result perfect for espresso machines, while grind levels 6-26 produce grounds that work well with a filter coffee machine. Grind levels 27-39 create coarser grounds that are ideal for cafetiere.

I’m loving my Calibra and how I’m able to adjust it easily to suit my taste and immediate needs.

Priced under £125, it’s a a handy grinder for coffee lovers who value the quality of their beans. Find out more about this marvellous machine here:
