Postcode purists might take exception to the E5 Bakehouse moniker (the bakery’s postcode is actually E8 3PH), but any real bread enthusiasts who’ve actually had this young Hackney enterprise’s sourdough creations would probably care less about what’s in the name as long as what’s in the oven keeps coming out tasting so divine.

Look at this fool. Think he likes dancing to dubstep? Maybe he just likes the idea of winning a new car. A new car!? Yep, that’s right. Kia is giving folks a chance to “dance their way” to the opening match of EURO 2012 and even win a brand new Kia Picanto with a new online Kia Dubstep Competition. All you’ve gotta do is show your moves dancing to the DJ Flux Pavilion hit “I Can’t Stop”. Eight finalists from the comp will win a trip to Euro 2012, including flights, hotels and a ticket to watch the Euro 2012 opening match in Warsaw, Poland, and one grand prize winner will receive a new Kia Picanto. Upload your video to the Kia Dubstep Contest webpage to be in with a chance to win.

Planning to get hitched and want to do it up big city style? London’s an awesome setting for just about any occasion. Weddings not excluded.
You’ve got a lot of options with respect to your search for “wedding venues London”. From doing it in the middle of the road (like in the photo above which I took outside my flat a couple of years ago – the commotion pulled outside and I was blown away to discover myself suddenly in the midst of a full on wedding party) to, say, Westminster Abbey (well, you might need to have a few royal connections for that one).
Of course this town is full of historic churches, iconic architectural marvels, spots with stunning views, world class hotels, arty places, foodie places … etc. You name it – it’s probably here and if you can afford it you can have it for awhile. From what I’ve gathered as a wedding guest, casual observer and even a few times as the wedding photographer, the one key aspect to sorting out where to have your London wedding is securing your venue ASAP.
There seems to be a lot of competition to get in just about anywhere these days. I’ve known people who’ve had to put off their big day for months in order to wed at their preferred venue … or have had to go for a winter wedding or weekday (when they’d have preferred a spring or early summer weekend) or had to compromise in some way.
Whatever your preference or budget, there’s bound to be somewhere in this ancient and sprawling metropolis that suits your needs. I’ve attended elegant and tasteful ceremonies and receptions at town halls and local pubs. I think what’s most important is finding the kind of venue that celebrates the couple’s personalities and relationship and reminds guests why they’re there in the first place.

Recently, designboom and Infiniti launched an international competition to find the cream of the crop talent in digital art. The comp is themed around different elements of the Infiniti brand.
The first theme was “Inspired Performance” and garnered heaps of global interest with more than 500 entries coming in from around the world. Six finalists were announced and their work was exhibited at various Infiniti Centres throughout Europe. In March this year, Japan-born Shinji Nukumi was announced as the winner and was awarded €10,000 at the official inauguration of the Infiniti Centre Marseille. His “Infiniti Passion” design is a composition of eye catching projections onto an Infiniti G Coupé model.
Now, designboom and Infiniti have launched the next theme in the competition: “Curved Visions”. Participation is open to applicants worldwide, particularly professionals, design enthusiasts and students. Participants are asked to design a “memorable experience via spectacular or interactive digital artworks or performance” to be displayed in the new showrooms that Infiniti plans to ope throughout Europe as well as during other premium brand events.
Think you got what it takes to come up with a killer design idea? Consider the following if you will:
INFINITI’s power is curved; it starts soft and delicately, delivery increasing power, to give the acceleration the feel of endlessly increasing G’s. INFINITI’s design is curved; to increase the free flow of energy between the driver and his car, to create an exhilarating experience through every curve on the road.
