Air Europa Launches New Route Between London and Montevideo (OneTravel)

Award-winning Latin American specialist airline, Air Europa, has launched a new route between London Gatwick and Aeropuerto de Carrasco in Montevideo, Uruguay. The route is serviced three times a week via Madrid-Barajas Airport and onboard an Airbus 330-200 aircraft with 299 passenger capacity including 24 business class seats. Continue reading

Air Europa Now Flies London Gatwick to Montevideo, Uruguay (CDCLifestyle)

Montevideo and the rest of Uruguay are now much closer to London thanks to a new route recently opened by Air Europa in June. The award-winning Latin America specialist airline launched its first flights from London Gatwick to Aeropuerto de Carrasco in Montevideo on the 3rd of June, granting UK travellers access to the Uruguayan capital (and one of South America’s fastest growing tourist destinations) as well as access to luxury resorts of Punta del Este and Jose Ignacio. Olympic Record Breaking Summer for Heathrow Airport Expected (CheapOair)

It looks like this summer’s going to be a busy one at London’s Heathrow Airport. An estimated 80% of all visitors with flights to London for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games are expected to pass through the airport. That’s almost 60,000 passengers including 12,850 athletes and 14,700 accredited media as well as marketing partners, officials and – of course – the spectators. To ensure that these visitors’ first experience of London and the UK before the Olympics will be a positive one, the British Airports Authority (BAA) is upping its game to deal with the high volume of flyers.
