Vegan food makes ya peppy! Or, at least, that’s the conclusion I was coming to as I watched a couple of extra-energetic vegan dancers poppin’ to some dub step at yesterday’s launch of the new Vantra Vitao restaurant on Oxford Street. I had a great time – and sampled some delicious food and drink at Vantra. I’m more than happy to recommend a visit to this relaxed and health conscious restaurant just down the street (but seemingly a world away) from the calamitous Tottenham Court Road Tube station. Kamps: New German Backerei Café on Tottenham Court Road Near Warren Street

Kamps is a new German backerei café on Tottenham Court Road near Warren Street station. Stop by for a coffee (artisan wood roasted in Oxford) and a pastry, an especially budget friendly and tasty breakfast or a loaf of bread baked fresh in-store. Not yet open a full week with no marketing , the clean little shop is making fans quick. After my recent visit I can see why. Continue reading →

DIG by Sculptor Daniel Silver: Intriguing Outdoor Art on View for Free in London (CheapOair)

An abandoned, overgrown landscape in central London is the site for an installation of free-to-view public art by artist Daniel Silver. Called Dig, the installation features a series of not-quite-finished (often eerily incomplete or eroded) figures and fragments of varying size all worked from hand and made of a range of materials including marble, plaster and terracotta.
