Exciting! Tickets to #DeepSouthFarEast – my pop-up team up with Malaysian Home Cooking chef Vi Vian Woo at the Ninth Ward bar in Clerkenwell – are selling fast. But check it out: The friendly folks at Tabl, have two tix set aside to give away for free.
Our dinner on the 20th of July will celebrate the 10th anniversary of my blog while inviting guests to go Deep South and Far East for a shiok-er of a one-off feast fusing the fiery sophistication of Malaysian cuisine with the indulgent traditions of the American South. Tickets cost £40 with only 27 seatings available – and we are expecting to sellout … soon.
Ticket price includes one welcome cocktail. Ninth Ward’s bar will be open throughout the evening, and guests are welcome to purchase as many drinks as they like and to stay on for nightcaps.

PLEASE NOTE: This competition is being run in partnership with Tabl. One winner will be chosen at random by myself and the team at Tabl on 14 July at 11.30am BST. To qualify the winner must follow @theTabl and retweet either the above-mentioned tweet or the competition-related tweet from Tabl. The winner will receive two tickets to the one-night-only #DeepSouthFarEast supper club at Ninth Ward (99-101 Farringdon Road, London EC1R 3BN) taking place Wednesday 20 July from 6.30pm. Tickets are valued at £40 each and limited to 27 guests.
Tabl is the new home for pop-up kitchens, “secret” supper clubs and food adventures.
A one-off event or a more regular treat, what makes tabl pop-ups special is that they aren’t everyday occurrences. They take place somewhere unexpected, often in private residences and offer a shared and social dining experience. There’s no permanent location and you can’t just walk in off the street, the way to access them is to find them on tabl. What’s more, it’s free to join.
