Really swell. And here’s why: I really dig the tones here. The brick colors, the flat charcoal black of the box, the void black of the square openings. Then there’s the static grid of rectangles and squares which is softly destroyed by the irregular edges of the bricks, missing mortar, and that single diagonal line. And finally I like how the ash box looks more important and older than it is because of the faded paint and the ash smudges. Another really great shot from you that feels good to look at.
Hey thanks, man. Yeah, there’s a wonky geometry to it, I guess. I think I got the light right, too. Looking at it now, I think I could have done a better job with the composition or maybe cropped it differently. Anyway, it stood out when I walked by it.
