Aw man, I’m going to be out of town and thus unable to attend this event but look: Heavy Metal Bowling – your chance to “finger holes, caress balls” while crushing pins, eating BBQ and downing cold beer – all to a soundtrack featuring Black Sabbath, Electric Wizard, Elder, The Sword, Slayer, Sleep, Metallica.
Few can match the thrill of the screaming guitars, thunderous bass drums and explosive pyrotechnics of a heavy metal concert when it collides with bowling and barbecue. This November, the team who brought you Heavy Metal Bowling, is teaming up with Bompas & Parr’s Metal BBQ for a night of growling music, thundering ten-pin and food so hairy and muscular you can really gorge on it.
Word is there’ll be strippers, pyrotechnics and even a “condiment castle”. The highest scoring bowler of the evening will win the same model of sword used by Arnold Schwarzenegger in Conan the Barbarian.
