London Celebrates Bonfire Night (OneTravel)

November 5th is Bonfire Night (aka Guy Fawkes Night) in England and is an occasion to commemorate the Gunpowder Plot of 1605 when Guy Fawkes (yep, the dude those V for Vendetta masks are named for) tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament and kill King James I. These days the historic event is “celebrated” with fireworks and bonfires. Here’s a list of five of the best Bonfire Night happenings in London.
