Man oh man! I got an education last night from Jaume Beato, lead bartender at Gillray’s Steakhouse & Bar at the Marriott Hotel County Hall. From a crash course in the history and global reach of gin (Gillray’s keeps close to 70 different gins behind the bar) to how to mix a classic cocktail, Beato proved his merit with affable demeanour.
