Say hi to David Latto, an East London pizzaiolo working up a storm Thursday to Saturday, 6 to 10pm, “at the back of Palm 2” in Clapton. It was a real treat getting a behind the scenes taste of David’s sourdough pizzas yesterday as he was setting up for a busy night in front of the oven. Loved the fresh fennel and salami pie!
Maybe it’s because I’m about as local as it gets (literally round the corner), but Palm 2 is one of my favourite London shops, and I reckon David’s pizzas are among the best cheap eats in town (£5 for a margherita!).
