Just back from a too short, but super sunny and fun-filled visit to Salento, I’m eager to rave about how wonderful this part of southern Italy is. Located in the region of Puglia, Salento is at the very bottom of the country’s so called boot heel.
For a taste of rustic Italy at its very best with plenty of rich history, beautiful beaches and warm hospitality, I can think of few destinations that yield as much “bang for your buck” as this quiet corner of the Mediterranean.
