Sans little ones in tow but still keen to take the Eye for a spin? For adults, there’s the Hotel Chocolat Chocolate Tasting Experience featuring prosecco and chocolate pairings on a special double rotation, available from 25 to 28 March, as well as an Easter Champagne Experience 25 March to 9 April.

I got a sneak peek of this Easter offering last night. It had been a long time since the last time I had enjoyed a “flight” on the London Eye (or should I now say the Coca-Cola London Eye?). I’m pleased to report’s still one of London’s best attractions yielding some of the best views of the city. I thought the View of Pure Imagination experience was a brilliant idea for families looking to include the Eye in their visits to London. The actor in my pod had a real knack for engaging children, allowing parents some time off to take in the sweeping views over the Thames.

The London Eye is located at South Bank opposite the Houses of Parliament.
The ticketing office is at Riverside Building, County Hall, Westminster Bridge Road, SE1 7PB. Find out more at londoneye.com.
