I’m Still a Mess. But at Least My House is Clean.

Welcome back to this messy series of posts about my experience with Hassle.com – the online and app-based cleaning service offering vetted cleaners, online payments, and 100% money-back guarantees. I’ve been booking cleanings via Hassle for just over a month now and thought it was time to share my thought about the service with you.

So far so good. No technical or scheduling hiccups. And my house has never been cleaner. Of course, that’s not really saying all that much, given for much of the time I’ve lived here it’s been all up a building site with full-on renovations taking place. Now that all that work is over, it’s nice to enjoy the reward of a clean home (and to have somebody else do it!). Between sessions, it’s easier to maintain upkeep while keeping clutter down too.

Each cleaning has been with the same person – Nadya – and she’s a total pro. I couldn’t be more pleased with the job she’s done and would be more than happy to stick with her for as long as I’m living where I do now and she’s still with Hassel. Indeed I intend to just that. She even does iron (with advanced noticed) and windows (interior only). After she left last time, I stood in amazement at how everything gleamed.

Stay tuned for more posts about my experience trying out Hassle, and how you might be able to try its on-demand cleaning service for free!

  1. Chris, thank you for sharing. The power of sharing help people / businesses who believe in giving value. Aren’t you lucky to have a clean house.

I also have help once a week. It makes a huge difference to us. We did try to do without help for a couple of years but it was a false economy. The mess is less as people put things away for the cleaner coming. Their time isn’t to be used to tidy up! I’m more relaxed because I know the bathrooms and floors have had a thorough clean once a week. I only feel the need to take the mop over the centre of floors and the same with the carpets the rest of the week. Daughters room doesn’t get hoovered unless it is tidy. My life has been transformed with the help. I use the extra time to declutter at the moment. We had major building work and cared for a number of elderly relatives over a few years. Things were just boxed to deal with at a later date. I feel I spent a lot of my time moving boxes to be able to clean.

      Hi Hester,

Thanks for taking the time to comment. You’re right. Having someone come in to do the cleaning makes a huge difference and trying to do it yourself to save money can often simply take away from time you could be more productive and focused on things more important to you.

      🙂
