#Shaveril: Shave Your Beard This April in Support of Mental Health

A photo posted by Chris Osburn (@chrisosburn) on

Shaveril is a new concept asking beardos to shave it all off during the month of April, then post a before and after picture/video to Twitter, Instagram or Facebook with the hashtag #shaveril and make a small donation to mental health charity – Mind – via text code or website. Newly clean shaven participants are invited to pass the challenge to their bushy faced friends.

And that’s what I’m doing now.

Yesterday I attended the Shaveril launch party and pop-up barbershop at the Hoxton and got a super smooth shave from Chris, who was donating his time away from his business: Huckle the Barber (with shops on Old Street and Lamb’s Conduit). Then I texted a small donation to the cause. Got a beard? Why not consider shaving it off this month in support of Mind.

Mind is a charity providing advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem and campaigning to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding of mental health issue.

Find out more at mind.org.uk.

To donate, simply text SHAV68 and £5 or £10 to 70070 or go to justgiving.com/shaveril.
