Bestaurant: Share and Discover Everybody’s Favourite Restaurants

Bestaurant is a new free-to-download social foodie app that enables you to share your favourite restaurants with followers and friends – and to check out what their favourite places to eat and drink are too. I joined Bestaurant a couple of weeks ago and have found it to be a convenient way to keep track of and share my personal history of good eats, while highlighting my absolute faves and seeing what other folks recommend.

I’ve already added just over 50 places to my London Gold List (haven’t delved into options for inputting restaurants in other cities yet). My list is comprised mostly from the annual year end Best of series I publish on my blog. However, I actually added one place where I ate for the first time this week. Having a look at a map generated by the app from my list I can see plotted points for my ideal dining destinations veers east with a big clump of venues in the centre of town. What would your Bestaurant map look like?

It’s not just geeks like me playing with the app, though. Big name chefs such as
Anthony Bourdain and Guy Fieri – and even super slebs like the Kardashians – are on there too with their own lists of preferred hot spots.

I’ve yet to use Bestaurant out of town but reckon that’s when this “shared repository” of best food experiences will turn out to be especially handy.

Are you interested in sharing your favourite restaurants and discovering all sorts of other great places to eat and drink in your area or while your travelling? Download Bestaurant for iPhone and dig in!
